So Much to Learn

I’ve spent the last two to three days updating my site (a work in progress) and studying about this entire online thing for promoting my artwork and becoming involved in the larger arts community. I’d like to sound more, I don’t know, sophisticated or ‘cool’ about it but honestly it’s a lot to learn… and it can get confusing rather quickly. Now I have to link it all together and get all my ducks in a row. Maybe I’ll get back to the easel in a day or two, because that’s what I’d rather be doing—painting.  (I have a fabulous drawing ready to transfer to paper, I’m SO excited!)

I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way–things I had no words for.” Georgia O’Keeffe

I came across some incredible artists in my online travels… inspiring, amazing…but one man’s work actually made me cry it was so beautiful— MADE. ME. CRY.—so unbelievably awe-inspiring and atmospheric. I am humbled. Thierry Duval from France. You can see what made me leak from the eyes here.

Up and running!

I am so excited to finally have this site up and running. The road has been winding and sometimes I could not see what was coming around the corner, but this site and the direction my life and art has taken has brought me here.

I’m currently exploring watercolour, which is so much fun, and lots of flowers. They have stretched how I see things and are always a challenge.
